Anatoly Fesyun, acting director of NMRC for Rehabilitation and Balneology of the Ministry of Health of Russia, presented his report "Modern legislation as a factor affecting the investment appeal of resorts in the Russian Federation" to doctors and leaders of the Chinese society of physical medicine and rehabilitation of the Chinese medical association by teleconference.

Among the main areas of cooperation, Anatoly Fesyun noted the development of export of medical services in the areas of "medical rehabilitation" and "health resort treatment", in particular, through the development of "package offers" for citizens of the People's Republic of China and citizens of the Russian Federation.

"At present, the sanatorium and spa industry in Russia remains vibrant and offers its guests new, promising services in the part of recreation and recovery. Today, sanatorium and spa treatment in Russia is an integral part of primary and secondary prevention. At the same time, the country's progressive sanatorium and spa facilities are widely using not only proven treatment methods, including those based on the use of natural medicinal resources, but invasive technologies as well. All of these are effectively used for the treatment and recovery of the population of our country, as well as foreign citizens. In their turn, our foreign colleagues can choose a particular health resort centre with the help of the software and information complex "State Register of the Resort Fund of the Russian Federation". It provides information about all sanatorium and spa centres, therapeutic and recreational areas and resorts of the Russian Federation, as well as data on natural medicinal resources and special medical opinions about them," Anatoly Fesyun stressed.

In addition, acting director of NMRC for Rehabilitation and Balneology of the Ministry of Health of Russia highlighted a few more areas of cooperation between the two countries. One of them is scaling up and sharing innovative treatment methods using non-drug technologies. It was also proposed to conduct joint grant research activities in the field of medical rehabilitation and application of natural medicinal resources, and to enhance the knowledge and experience of doctors, medical staff - to hold joint research and practice conferences and learning cycles.
