Over the years, such well-known specialists as professors S.M. Dukhovskoy, L.V. Feldman, V.N. Moshkov, N.A. Belaya, O.F. Kuznetsov were in charge of exercise therapy and massage programmes in "NMRC RB".

Knowledge and experience gained during training in the best clinics of Russia and abroad allow the staff of the department of orthopedics, biomechanics, kinesitherapy and manual therapy to set themselves and successfully solve the most complex scientific problems, as well as to implement the original methods obtained as a result of research work in the educational process of training specialists in medical rehabilitation, balneology, exercise therapy, manual therapy and medical massage, provided by the Training and methodological centre of the FSBI "NMRC RB" of the Ministry of Health of Russia.

Research work on the introduction into clinical practice of innovative methods and techniques of exercise therapy, mechanotherapy, hydrokinesotherapy, massage and manual therapy has been carried out on the premises of the leading Russian institution for medical rehabilitation and balneology from the very first day of its establishment and continues to the present day.

Main areas of research activities
  • development of optimal ways of dosing the means of exercising and physical factors of mechanical nature in the application to the pathology of the main functional systems, including organs of movement and support;
  • improvement of cybernetic concept of regulation of statodynamic functions in the process of formation of motor stereotypes by means of exercising and physical factors of mechanical nature;
  • development of a system of effective diagnostic, therapeutic and recreational measures, including methods of exercise therapy, medical massage and manual therapy, at the final stages of medical rehabilitation, in the conditions of specialized rehabilitation centres and health and spa institutions.

  1. Development of information technology and scientific justification of the application of remote monitoring of patients in the conditions of sanatorium and spa centres.
